Meh, so it's more like "dubious," but whatever. Also... kind of from Tuesday. And by "kind of," I obviously mean "entirely." Anyway, the "Out of Context Quote of the Day" quote is: "I sleep the sleep of the just, you tool!"
Role-playing with the gang, my character has something of a hardon for justice. So I went to go investigate a thing on my own (because two other guys in the group went to investigate a thing on their own). To make a long story short, I was in "detective mode" and left my gear at the inn, but I needed to be in "fight mode." So a man-sized cockroach stabbed me in the back four times with its legs, and I walked back to the inn, stormed in half-dead, went to my room to get my gear, then stormed back out without a word and got back into the fray. There were looks. There were questions. There were consequences. At any rate, I got patched up but then had to sleep on a wood floor that night, then walked all the following day, and finally had a hot bath and then slept in a feather bed in a nice hotel (due to a series of events that isn't worth explaining). Needless to say, I was sacked the fuck out. The next morning, someone asks where I am, to which one of the players responds, "Oh, Kaya? She's sleeping the sleep of the dead, it's been a long couple days for her." To which I immediately responded, "What?! I sleep the sleep of the just, you tool!" It was a hit.
This is what happens when I undergo the "Week of Pants" challenge. I must wear the same pair of pants every day for a week. But it's OK, because these are fairly epic pants. Snakes are involved. This is all for the good of science, of course: I need to study the phenomenology of wearing pants all week, and in order to do that, I need to have these first-person experiences myself.
