country music
After 5 years in Calgary and 1.5 years in Kamloops I finally entered a country bar last week. One of the girls at work was singing there so a bunch of us went to watch. After the contest there was kareoke (sp?) and the group was trying to get me to go up. I quickly took refuge up stairs playing pool only stopping to watch when a couple of our group got up to perform. They were quite good even if it was country music *grin*.
Actually I found I knew quite a few of the songs and enjoyed it.
Then today I went to new church that my mum found out about from someone in her church. It was a nice service and I think I will go again. It is nice to go maybe not every week but it is nice to have that a place to worship. Usually I don't like going as although I am christian I find that I have little in common with most church groups. I doubt I will find it different with this group but I do like to visit time to time.
