Hey guys!
I know it's been a while. But RL and especially work was insane. But on the positive side: I guess my muse felt as abandoned as
sofia_lindsay , because when I started working more regular hours again she hit me full force with a 2x4 (Ahem.. my muse that is NOT Sofia *smirk*). Maybe it's because it's November and I usually do
NaNo in November. (No, not this year. I still don't know how work's gonna be in the next weeks... *sigh*)
And as a result I bring you the first part of a
duvista Story I started a while back and continued writing now.
Title: She's a Screamer
Pairing: Calleigh/Natalia, Calleigh/Eric friendship and some mentioning of past Cal/Sofia and Nat/Eric. Cake? No WAY!
Fandom: CSI: Miami mostly, a little x-over with CSI.
Rating: NC-17 eventually
Disclaimer:I don't own them. No money, yadda, yadda, yadda!
Spoiler: none for new episodes. Takes place somewhere after “Internal Affairs”
Author's note(s): This is really just a little fun, because of this hideous You Tube Video
caligrlz posted on
duvista and this insane sentence “She's a screamer“. Since no one stepped up to write a story about it, I had to do it on my own.
Summary: Cal and Eric get a little drunk and Eric spills the beans about his relationship with Nat. Calleigh decides to form her own opinion about that. A little trip down memory lane concerning Cal/Sofia. I took some liberties with their past concerning university.
A/N2: This story has a mind of its own. I swear to God, it isn’t my fault. This should have been a little two part story, just some crack!fic…. And now? It’s huge and becoming bigger every day. Cal and Nat demanded some actual plot. Sex wasn’t enough for them… And who am I to argue with THEM???
Thanks: As always to my wonderful beta Sofia_Lindsay who did her thing even if this is NOT CM. And thanks to
ariestess and
shatterpath for allowing me to post this on
duvista !

Part 1
It had been an exceptional crappy day for the whole team, due to a cruel and bloody murder of a teenage girl. The team had closed in on the main suspect pretty quickly, but not before he had been able to kill a second girl. And then, to top it all, they had to let him go due to a stupid technicality.
Calleigh was so pissed, even shooting countless rounds at the range hadn't been able to calm her down enough to go home for the night. It hadn't exactly been her fault, but ... well the evidence had been in her car. And then it wasn't. Calleigh really blamed herself for being so stupid. Getting caught up in a, as she knew now, set up fight at the park.
Eric couldn't forget the images either so he talked the blonde into some drinks at a nearby bar. Partly to forget the day himself, but partly because he knew that Calleigh pretty much blamed herself and he wanted to get her mind off of work and lighten her up some.
The rest of the team bowed out because they already had plans that couldn't be cancelled. Calleigh was a little disappointed that Natalia couldn't come along. She’d had a crush on the taller woman for some time now. Pretty much since she first laid eyes on her and she really would have enjoyed the company, even if she knew that she wasn't Natalia's type. Since Natalia had joined their team it had been painfully clear to Calleigh that Natalie would never be more than a friend. They had become friends, they had learned to trust each other again after the mole incident and they always had each other's back. But regardless of their friendship Calleigh still didn't know a lot about Natalia's personal life.
Calleigh had been really shocked when she had learned that Nat had slept with Nick of all people. Her ex-husband; her abusive ex-husband. That's when she really noticed that she didn't know that much about Natalia at all.
So she decided to make the best out of the situation and get some information out of her good friend Eric about her secret obsession. Maybe she could use some of the gossip to arrange something nice for Natalia. After all the stress with the abduction of her sister and all the shit she'd been through with Nick, the brunette definitely could use something to lighten her up. Because that's what friends do. They help each other through the rough patches. And that's what Calleigh intended to do. She wanted Nat to be happy. Even if that meant seeing her with yet another man; even if it wasn't with her.
Half an hour and four tequilas each later, they had forgotten about their case for the time being and Calleigh was telling Eric about her worst first date ever.
“So, it was ma second year at Tulane University and I was single since I started my first year. It had taken me quite a while to get over ma stupid high school boyfriend, but finally I was ready to date again. Honestly I needed to get laid. The past few weeks had been exhausting, with a lot of important midterm papers. I seriously needed to relax, get my mind off things. And there are times like this, when your own hands just aren’t enough. I needed another body, needed to feel connected to someone. A girl has needs too ya know! A little not that innocent fun seemed like a good idea. Somethin’ simple. No strings attached.
Anyway, there was this guy in one of my courses. He was really cute and he had asked me out several times, but I always blew him off. I finally caved and agreed to go to some sorority party with him.“
Calleigh giggled at the memory, the alcohol slowly showing its effect.
“It was one of the worst kind of parties. A lot of drunken college boys goofin’ around and trying to impress some girly girls with their manliness. Back then I still was a little uncomfortable around drunk people. I didn't drink much myself; I needed to stay in control. Yeah, I know what you're going to say: it was a sorority party. I really don’t know what I’d expected. It was bound to be disastrous.“
The blonde CSI shook her head at her own stupidity back then and Eric laughed at her.
“Doesn't sound like the worst date ever to me. What happened next? You broke a heel or something?“ asked her friend with a twinkle in his eye.
Calleigh rolled her eyes at the goofy young man, but she continued her story, after ordering another round of shots for them.
“This guy, Jeffrey was his name I think, well I told him notta drink too much, but he wouldn't listen. I guess he was just nervous an' tried to calm his nerves a little, but he was rather inebriated soon enough, an' of course he wasn't nervous anymore either. He tried ta kiss me and feel me up, but I wouldn't let him and left.
Well, I tried ta leave but it wasn’t as easy as I assumed. Do you remember the part where I mentioned a lot of drunken boys trying ta impress the girls? Or the fact that I’m pretty much a girl, and a small one at that? As soon as I was without male “protection“ I had a flock of those jocks on my tail and they just wouldn't leave me alone. I was about ready ta hide in the bathroom or get really violent on the boys when my rescue appeared in the shape of another girl.“
Calleigh couldn't help but smile at the memory. And she couldn't hold back the laugh when she became aware of Eric's stunned expression.
“Eric! Close your mouth! And get your mind outta the gutter. There's no chance you'll ever getta see anythin' like that, ya hear me? No watchin'! Ever!“
Eric obviously had some trouble forcing his mind back into the here and now to a very much fully clothed Calleigh Duquesne, but he managed eventually.
“What happened?” he asked an octave higher as usual.
“Quid pro quo, Eric. If I tell ya, ya have ta answer ma next question absolutely honest. Deal?”
“Deal”, the young man agreed, maybe a little too quickly.
“Her name was, well is Sofia. I had seen her on campus but since she was in her fourth year we didn’t have any courses together.
So, I was about ready ta hide or ta get really violent, but both options didn’t look that appealing to me.
10 Years earlier
Calleigh was cornered, literally. The only way left was towards the stairs and further into the house. But all she wanted was out. She knew she’d had to have the look of a hunted deer surrounded by a pack of wolfs. A very hungry pack of wolfs. Only in these wolfs’ eyes shone another kind of hunger.
Suddenly she found herself embraced from behind by strong yet soft arms and before she could react in any way a low, husky voice whispered into her ear.
“Play along and I will get you out of here safe and sound.”
It was the best offer Calleigh had heard the whole evening. That and the fact, that the stranger’s sexy voice sent shivers down her spine, made her take her chances with this girl and she nodded slightly.
Everything happened really quickly after her small sign of acceptance. She felt herself turned around in the stranger’s arms, so she was finally facing her saviour. Yet she was only able to catch a small glimpse of blonde hair and a slim form before her eyes fluttered shut because the other woman was kissing her passionately.
A rush of excitement flooded Calleigh's whole body. She had never been kissed like that before. She felt herself pushed against the wall and was thankful for the additional support it provided; as she feared her knees would go weak under the stranger’s heated kiss. She was acting almost on autopilot as she tangled her hands into soft, long hair urging the stranger closer to deepen the kiss, tongues battling for dominance.
When they finally broke apart, due to the need for oxygen mostly, the only thing Calleigh could think about was kissing this woman again. And soon! She finally got a good look at the other woman. ‘Stunning’ was the first thing that came to her mind.
Piercing blue eyes looked back at her.
“Let’s get out of here honey.”
Cal took the extended hand and followed her new friend outside getting a good look at the other woman’s sexy rear in the process. As soon as they had cleared the party area the other woman let go of her hand and turned towards her.
“You okay? I hope I didn’t come on to strong, but I think there wasn’t really another way to shut them all up at once. I’m Sofia by the way.”
“Calleigh. Yeah, I’m okay.” And as an afterthought she added: “More than okay actually.”
Sofia arched an eyebrow at Cal’s confession but didn’t comment on it.
“I’ll take you to your car. Where is it?” Sofia asked matter of factly.
Calleigh shrugged her shoulders lightly. “I came with … a friend but I think it’s save to assume that I’ll have to call a cab.”
“What happened? Don’t tell me anyone would be stupid enough to ditch you!” Sofia let her eyes roam freely over Calleigh's body to prove her point.
Calleigh blushed under the stare that felt like Sofia was touching her everywhere.
“No, I ditched him. It was our first date; he got really drunk and became very obtrusive. I just … I don’t know what I expected. It’s a sorority party after all. I guess I’m not ready for this dating stuff, going to weird parties and making out with guys.”
Cal didn’t know why she told Sofia all this, she had never opened up to others quickly. But she had the distinct feeling, that she could trust her. There had been a connection between them since the first touch that went beyond anything she had experienced before.
“So … you need a ride? Do you maybe wanna go somewhere else?”
The earlier bravado had left Sofia under the intense stare that regarded her openly.
“Ya, I’d like that. Why don’t you come home with me?” Calleigh's voice was barely more than a whisper but Sofia heard it loud and clear. She put a finger under Calleigh's chin, who had dropped her gaze a little embarrassed about her uncharacteristic offer. She had never done anything like this before. Inviting a near stranger home with her, let alone a woman. She didn’t know what had possessed her, the only thing she could think about was kissing Sofia again. And maybe more. Even if she wasn’t sure what this more could contain.
Sofia lifted Calleigh's chin so she could look her straight in the eyes. “You sure?” Blue eyes searched green ones for a sign of confirmation.
“Yes … No. Look. I …” Calleigh let out a frustrated groan. “I’ve never done something like … well this. But to be honest, I want to kiss you again real bad. And maybe… maybe more.”
Calleigh's voice dropped to a whisper again. “I don’t know if that’s a yes or a no.” She grinned at Sofia a little sheepishly.
“I wanna kiss you, too! How about I drive you home, you invite me in for a cup of coffee and we’ll see what happens. You have to promise me something though.” Sofia became very serious and looked Calleigh straight in the eyes.
“And what might that be?”
“You have to tell me if I go to fast or if you feel uncomfortable in any way, okay?”
Calleigh released a breath of relief she hadn’t noticed she’d been holding. “Yeah, I can do that. But if the kiss is any indication I doubt that I’ll feel uncomfortable.”
The blonde CSI smiled warmly at the memories that flooded her. That night had been a revelation for her in more ways than one.
Due to lucky circumstances her roommate was out of town for the weekend. Visiting with her parents or something. Earlier that evening Calleigh had cursed her roommate for being out of town, but with the new development of the evening she was really glad she was. The ride to her dorm wasn’t that long but Calleigh was getting more nervous with every minute passing. She was awfully aroused by the kiss and the close proximity in the car. She didn’t recognize herself. Usually she was very controlled and had her feelings and desires in check, but with Sofia everything was different. She was hyper aware of her own body and its reactions. Already wetness was pooling between her thighs and her nipples were rock hard and clearly visible through her shirt. She knew Sofia must have noticed and she was a little embarrassed about it. She wanted this woman so badly but on the other hand she had no idea how to do IT with a woman.
Obviously Sofia had sensed her inner turmoil though, because when they arrived at Calleigh's dorm and got out of the car she embraced her tentatively.
“Hey there beautiful. You know, it’s okay to be nervous. I’m nervous too.” Sofia tried to calm Calleigh's nerves.
“You? Why should YOU be nervous? I figured you were with women before.” Calleigh was really surprised about Sofia’s confession, her thoughts tumbling around in her head.
“Yes, I’ve been with women before. I know this may sound like a lame line, but this, you and I, it’s different. I don’t wanna screw this up, because I really like you and I don’t want this to be a one night thing. It may sound insane, because we only just met, but it already feels like I’ve known you forever. I really want us to have a chance. And that’s why I’m nervous. Now tell me. What are you nervous about?”
Calleigh's heart went out to the woman standing in front of her, holding her close and all her doubts seemed to vanish into thin air.
“I’ve never been with a woman before and I’m nervous because I really have no idea what to do.” She admitted freely.
“We’ll figure it out together. It’ll be fun! Just let your body lead the way.”
Sofia pulled Calleigh closer and kissed her the second time this evening. Where the first kiss had been demanding, fast and hot this one was sensual, caring and slow. Sofia wanted to let Calleigh set the pace. Soon she was surprised as she found herself pressed to the side of her car, Calleigh deepening the kiss, pressing her whole body against hers.
“Let’s get inside.” Calleigh's voice was low and husky, her eyes a dark forest green. “I really want you to show me.”
They had barely made it through the door of Calleigh's dorm room before they were kissing again. In the privacy of Calleigh's room one thing let to another making this night a night of many firsts for Calleigh. And when the dawn sent its first faint light through the window both women finally fell asleep in each other’s arms. Spent and exhausted but deeply satisfied.
During the following weeks Calleigh and Sofia had to accept that they didn’t work out as a couple though. Calleigh took most of the blame on herself because she didn’t feel ready to be in a same sex relationship. Or in any relationship for that matter. She totally chickened out. Nevertheless they stayed friends and Calleigh considered Sofia one of her best friends ever since and vice versa. They would still visit each other as often as possible, with their jobs being a bitch about it. And every once in a while they would even end up sleeping together after a night of fun, dancing and heavy flirting. And Calleigh was pretty sure if given the right circumstances they could have been a couple.
“Well the night ended much better than it started. She got me outta there, kissed me senseless and we had a really great night. Well some nights actually. But it didn’t work out in the end. We’re still friends though and I’m really grateful that I know her and can call her a friend. She’s a great person and there have been times where I would have been absolutely lost without her.”
Eric’s first response to his friend’s revelation was to order more drinks and only after downing his shot he finally spoke.
“Calleigh Duquesne, you are a woman of many surprises. I never figured you would swing that way. Do you still … uhm date women?”
“Na, not since University. But if the right woman came along I sure as hell wouldn’t say no.” ‘And I just know the one I wouldn’t say no to. And she’s fuckin' straight! Damn!’
The blonde downed her shot too and grinned devilishly. “So, now to our deal. Your worst sex ever. Do tell!”
“Oh no. Please Cal, ask something else. Please!” Eric threw her a glance that could have melted the heart of an iceberg.
“We had a deal. Suck it up and spill!”
Eric ordered another round of drinks for them and downed his shot quickly. When he started speaking again it was obvious that he really wasn’t sober anymore.
“Okay. I .. I’ll tell you. But only because you are one of my bestest and oldest friends. You have to promise, though! Don’t ever tell anyone.” He asked in an almost pleading voice.
“Ya'll should know that I’d never do somethin' like that. I’m not a gossip girl.”
“Okay.” He took another deep breath to calm his nerves. “It was with … Nat. You know we were dating a while?”
“Uuhuu”, was Calleigh's not so intelligent answer. As if she could ever forget! She had been devastated without knowing the exact reason. It had taken some very long conversations with Sofia over the phone until she realized that she had a crush on her new co-worker.
“We really had a great time every time we went out together. Everything was just easy and fun with her. Looking back now, it was like hanging out with a buddy. But back then? She was really hot and I wanted her really bad!”
’Are ya kiddin' me. She is smokin’! Calleigh thought. ‘I SO get the part o' you wanting her. Sigh. God, I wish…’
“We went out a few times and there had been some kissing and a little making out, nothing too serious though. So I made a plan with the ultimate goal to get into her pants finally. I knew that she liked everything fast. Fast cars, bikes, boats.”
‘I have ta keep that in mind for further use! Wait! Bikes? And I thought she looked after the guy ON the bike this morning. Duh! Calleigh Duquesne! Get a grip!’
“I rented a car. A BMW Z3 convertible, in red of course. And I made reservations at this Italian restaurant. One of those fancy places. I really wanted to impress her. It was stupid. I know that now.”
‘I would totally have made different plans. Somethin' way more casual. Nothin' where ya have to dress up. The night shoulda've been 'bout Nat havin' fun and not about ya'll gettin' some!’
“Well, the evening started out nice enough. She loved the car and she was all relaxed and in a good mood. Dinner was nice, too. Everything tasted fantastic and the wine loosened her further up. All was going according to my plan. I didn’t drink any wine so I could drive us to our next stop. There was this new club downtown. It was the place to go, everyone wanted to get in. I knew one of the bouncers and he got us in. The place was packed, but Nat loved it. She loves to dance and the music was just her thing. We spent the next two or three hours on the dance floor, only with little breaks to drink something. There were so many guys hitting on her and I couldn’t blame them. She looked absolutely stunning that evening and the way she moved promised everything. I had a really hard time fighting all those guys off. But it all seemed to pay off.”
‘So dancin' huh. I shoulda have figured that one out maself. The way she moves! Of course she loves dancin'. Way ta go Detective.’
“With the evening becoming night the music turned slower and we danced closer together. It was great. She had a way to move her hips against me, it was driving me mad.”
‘Oh ma God, this is too much! Do I really wanna hear this? But I bet Natalia has a great way ta work her body. Yummy! I just have ta concentrate on Nat, without the Eric part!’
“And she was turned on, too. I could see it in her eyes and well, her hands where all over me. So we decided to leave to have some privacy. I drove to my place as fast as possible and we were on my bed and undressed in record time.”
‘TMI Eric. I SO don’t wanna know, but it’s ma own fault. I asked about it!’
“And then … nothing. There was no passion, no spark. We found no rhythm, it was just awful. It would have been more fun without her. She didn’t move and she hardly made any sound. It was like she wasn’t there. When it was over, finally, she dressed and left. And that was the end. We stopped dating. We’re back at being friends now and I think, that’s the best thing that could have happened.”
‘Stop! What?’ Calleigh had some trouble keeping up with the last development of Eric’s story.
“What do ya think went wrong?” She asked, trying to be the concerned friend she should be.
“Really? I have no idea. I guess we were just not meant to be. And I really am glad that we’re able to be friends after what happened. So what do you say? One more round and a cab?”
