So, Every day when I boot this computer up... well every time actually... it may not be rebooted for several times, or it may happen several times in one day, but I digress. Every time I boot up this handy application pops up with a window that reminds me that I have a live journal, and that I 'could' be writing in it.
I guess that the fact that there are actually 'people' out there that actually added me to their friends list when Katrina
Kyra_Ojosverdes introduced me, had me 'curving' my scribbling a bit... or hmmm, curb, is probably a better word for it.
I figured that I'd need to write interesting and engaging things like I read in other peoples LJ's... or at least make them funny. bottom line, I felt like I’d need to make 'quality' posts here on LJ if people were going to have to read through it all.
but I had an Epiphany! (or what ever those flashes of insight are that one has every once in a while.) I just need to not worry about an 'audience' or rather make the audience 'myself' in the future, since, it is for 'self' that a journal is for in the first place right?
so basically, I'll toss in a few 'cut' Tags, and go crazy on documenting what the hell is going on in my life.
it'll be fun (for me,) heh, if it's not a fun read, then please feel free to pop me off your friends list, I won't be too terribly hurt.
But I do think that I will start writing in here a bit more. I sure do enjoy reading what's up in the life’s of those that I have on my friends list. and I do like to keep a record of what’s going on in my life... soooo, here is me 're-committing' to Live journal.
- today = pretty good, wound up the 'virus' that was creeping around our network at work... I suppose there will still be a abit of 'clean up' work for tomorrow, but over all it wasn't bad... just the 'crossed wires' between creating reports for tracking purposes... craziness I say, craziness!
hmmm my Toilet plugged up... apparently some ceramic bit from the 'tank' part fell in and plugged it... a wise friend suggested that I 'turn off' the water to the tank, I made some funny comment that since I lived alone I didn't need to worry about some one accidentally flushing the toilet.
Later, after returning from the grocery store with a plunger which failed to 'plunge' properly, I went into the other room to work on the computer for a bit, 'perhaps in hopes that the toilet would magically heal itself...', as I began to get comfy for a night of working in Dream weaver, an odd thought of the toilet running over kept running through my head... I shrugged it off once, but the second time I decided just to make sure that every one was staying in the containers that they belonged in...
To my horror I saw that a very small leak of water from the tank was filling up the bowl and that already a bit of the bile had began to seep over! AAAAHHHHK! (it really wasn't much, just a couple of table spoons full I'm guessing.)
I realized that my friend (
ahnk_life ) had been wise, and I had been the fool. I must have used half a roll of paper towels... it was over kill but I didn't want any 'wet' showing up... I then used two ink pens to pickup up then lower the towels into a garbage container! woot! mission accomplished.
I am so glad that I heeded that premonition to go check when I did! I can just imagine the disaster that I would have had to contend with had I continued working for a couple of hours!!
oh, I got an 'industrial plunger' that did the trick just fine. so every thing is cool now.
that fun ness, a good chat with my Dad, some playing of Crimson Skies X-Box, and then updating my Virus software has taken the place of an evening of Dream Weaver goodness yet again! Arrrgh, the talk with Dad was worth it, but that was only like 15 mins.. hmmmm I’m going to have to get back in control of my time I suppose!
