I guess I've kind of forgotten about this journal-thing since I moved. I've been busy, yet not, all summer. I have some extra time at work most days in which I check my e-mail and correspond through AIM Express. I haven't been back to Salem all summer, but that'll have changed after this weekend. I'm leaving Friday night to go home since my aunt and uncle are having their annual company/family picnic at the Canyon outside of Salem. I've gone EVERY year since I was little and that's the place where my parents had their wedding reception. It's beautiful out there and I don't want to miss it since my grandparents are going to be here from Arizona and I'd like to see how my cousin is doing, too. My dad told me last night that Michelle is starting to hang out with the boy down the street again - not good. I need to have a talk with her and see what's going on. This guy is definite bad news regardless of what she thinks. He's her age and has been drinking and smoking...possibly more since he was 10 years old! Rhoie knows his older brothers and apparently he even started having sex at that age. Not cool for him to be hanging around with MY little sister. Anyway, this will be a short, but nice trip...I hope. I'm only in Sisters for another 3 and a half weeks. It's actually sad. I've really enjoyed it over here. I've gotten great work experience and future references this summer. I feel like I've grown up so much in the past 3 months, it's a weird feeling. I've failed to mention to most people that I was in the weekly newspaper at the beginning of this month, too. I didn't consider it to be a big deal, but apparently it's kind of neat. Brett said he's been here for four years and hasn't even been in the paper. Whatever - Brett isn't worthy of being in the paper in my opinion, unless it's a warning that he gets around and for vulnerable girls to stay away from him. What a flake that boy is. His excuse is always, "I'm a busy guy - what can I say?" LAME! Enough on that. I think Whitty (one of my cats here) got attacked by a coyote. She has two punctures on her lower back and can hardly walk. She was obviously bitten by something. Poor girl. Cindi is going to take her to the vet this morning and get it looked at. She looks like she's in a lot of pain. Anyway, I should get back to work now, but I've got plenty more to say, so I'll update again tomorrow. Chao!
