Years later...
Only posting to say that I'm watching re-caps of the congressional vote on the debt whatchamacallit and the return of Gabby Giffords and all I can think is that she reminds me, in her current state, so much of my mom. I think it's her short hair, glasses but also her mannerisms. It's comforting and upsetting at the same time. Weird that that is what I'm focusing on.
