okay well i guess i could start
(i forgot my pictures so that will come later).

July 21 (thur)-get to ride first class from el Paso
to Dallas, cuz american airlines had to bump us to another flight.
however, that was only for 1.5 hours, and we had to be in coach
from dallas to New york. yuck.
get to Shane's apartment and i nap for a little bit,
until he gets home from work. then we took a cab to little italy
for some killer food, then walked back up to his apt,
i accumulated my first blister of the trip,
and fell asleep.

July 22-Toured the UN building. ate Thai food for lunch,
then went to the MoMA and saw "starry night" up close and personal.
shopped a little, walked a lot, then went to Nobu Nextdoor for
dinner, had some more killer food (nobu nextdoor is kind of like
Mix Express).

July 23-Toured NBC studios at Rockefeller Center, saw the inside
of the Saturday Night Live studio (it was filled with crap cuz
the show is on summer vacation and they are using it for storage),
the Conan O'Brien studio, and the Evening News studio (they are all
super tiny, you wonder how they look so big on TV.) ate Indian food
for lunch (to die for). went to the Museum of Modern Art, more famous
paintings, we are all dying of exhaustion (?) by this time. we have
cocktails on the roof of the Met.

July 24-Toured the American Museum of Natural History. it was alright.
ate Ethiopian food for dinner (not our favorite).

July 25-attempt to go to the Today show but as we leave the apt
building it starts to rain and Wendy doesn't want to walk in the
rain, so we head back inside to shower. later we go to the Statue
of Liberty and Ellis Island. can't completely enjoy it because
we are so UTTERLY EXHAUSTED. veg out in the apt for a couple hours,
then leave at 6 to go to the empire state building, to see it both
in daylight and at night. more indian food for dinner, yum.

July 26-wake up at 6 am to go to the Today show, this time we succeed.
shook al rokers hand, and i even am on TV for a split second at the
end of the whole damn thing in a segement with Bobbi Brown (the make-up
artist, not the singer)! kind of exciting! then we left to go to the
airport and go home, boo hoo. but i was ready, we were so tired.

so there it is. my head hurts now from looking at the screen too long.
