Been a while since I've had a real update but... I have been ridiculously busy lately. So I guess I'll try to update you guys on all that I remember from like the past week or whatever but we'll see.
Well Monday was school I remember lol... then we had a StuGo meeting after school. That was good. The usual, nothing really out of the ordinary. p.s. I'm so pumped for StuGo Whirleyball!!! lol. Yeah well I'm a dork but whatever you love it. Hmm what else? Then I had a physical for my summer camp thing I'm going to. Really excited for that as well, I'm going without knowing a single sole all the way to Connecticut for three weeks. I'm hoping to make some really great friendships.. and learn a lot about myself as well. Because this will be the first time I've really gone out of my comfort zone and had a chance to completely start myself over with no prior judgements or anything. :) Anyway moving on...
Tuesday I had my last leadership conference of the year :( It was really fun though, it was at some conference center in Bloomfield Hills. We had a speaker, watched a really cool video with a ton of ideas from other schools all over the country which was really cool. Then we did some initiatives (you only know what those are if you're as cool of a leadership dork as i am lol) in teams of like 10. It was fun, I had done all of them before but it wasn't a big deal it's always fun to do them with new people and stuff. Yeah then we had lunch and then we played this Survival of the Fittest game. It was fun but I did really badly lol. Yeah then later that night I had OPEN GYM for soccer!!! oh man I'm seriously so excited for this season, not only do I think our team is going to be really really good but it's a new coach and I dunno I just have a feeling this is going to be a great season for me. I am coming into it with a completely different perspective than I did last year, my attitude is 10x better and I'm so comfortable with all the players and everything. I'm really looking forward to it!!!!
I'm getting sick of updating on my whole week so I'm gonna cut to this weekend lol.
Friday was a half day, went to Panera with Kristi right after school and ate lunch and then she drove me back to school for parent teacher conferences 'cause i had to stay and help out with some 2007 stuff. It was fun we weren't that busy since there weren't that many parents there so I spent a lot of the time talking to some of my spanish teachers/class sponsors. Talked to Senor Bishop, Medina, Jackson, Gervais, Rosenthal and Marginet a lot. Talked to Ismail for a bit too. I dunno why so many students like hate teachers, if you get a chance to know most of them outside the classroom they're such cool people and really fun to talk to. Yeah so after that I came home and hung out for a bit and then I went out to the Costick Activity Center somewhere out in Farmington to watch Deadbeat play in their Battle of the Bands concert. They were SO amazingly good, they OWNED all the other bands, and all the other bands were like seniors and Deadbeat is 5 freshmen. I think it's awesome how talented and dedicated they all are to it, and I really think they're going to be like an amazing amazing band by the time they're all seniors and stuff. I hardly know most of them but I was still like really proud that night to just be like "yeah they go to my school". Not to mention they're all pretty hot haha. So not that any of you will read this but congrats on such a great show. But yeah they ended up winning the whole thing and they won like $500 and a chance to have their own show the next night at the Farmington Ice Arena.
Soooo obviously Bec Andrea and I went to see that show again on Saturday night. This one was pretty small 'cause they really had no time to advertise or anything but it was still fun. Once again they were really good. Oh man they do this cover of Imagine by John Lennon and it's SO good I love it. Most bands who try and cover songs that are that good usually just butcher it but I really think this rendition of it is like amazing. anyway I'm done raving about Deadbeat lol.
Today... homework and then volleyball banquet. It was really really long, but there were some funny times. CK told some funky stories that no one in the whole place thought was funny... which ironically made them really really funny for my team and i lol. Gotta love coach. Anyway... I got coach's award for the second year in a row. I guess that tells me something? And she told me I'd make a really good coach someday which actually made me really really happy because thats one of the things i want to be a major part of my adult life is to be a soccer coach. I dont just mean for like my kids' rec team but for like a big premiere club team like hawks or vardar or something. :) ANYWAY i'm done now.
