Went to see Les Mis on Friday. It was swell, i am singing the songs in my head at this moment actually. I probably will for a few days.
Overall, i was very impressed with the performances. I didn't know that there was so much talent hidden under the layers and layers of hormones and adolecent urges. See, we can be people. But seriously, it was very well done, and i am proud. It was amazing to watch these normal students that i see everyday be so...extraordinary? I know i sound cheesy and cliche, but i must admit, it was a sentimental, tear-jerking atmosphere for me. Superb job.
As much as i enjoyed the play, i need to brush up on my theatre-going skills. I was bored very easily...and often spaced out. I laughed too, at parts that were not suppose to be funny. Javert (Andrew Lima) and Jean Valjean (Mark Rowley) always had these showdowns...very funny to me. All of the poor people would be begging and singing, etc, and then, "Look! It's Javert!" DUN DUN DUNDUD UDNDUDDN crazy good music....DUDNDU and they would run or something. And then this little boy died while singing...it wasn't supposed to be funny either.
Having said this, it is 1:13 and quite honestly, i will have an anxiety attack if i don't sleep soon.
