Last day at my old job
Today's my last day at my old job ... it still doesn't seem quite real, yet. I've spent the last two weeks cramming as much info about my job as I can into poor Becky without making her head explode. And writing up what it is that I do daily, weekly, monthly, annually, and as needed, and adding as many hyperlinks as I can to help them find stuff. And cleaning four years' worth of crap out of my computer, PDA, flash drive, desk drawers, and files. And notifying my contacts, peers, media people, etc.
This morning I got my TB shot (whimpered a little, but overall it went well, considering my history) and they all seemed really excited for me to start on Monday. Apparently I have neither a computer or a permanent office yet, but it sounds like I'm spending most of the first week in orientation and training anyway, so I don't think it will matter much. I can't wait to get in and start learning!!
