I am currently considering participating in a program that places participants in the homes of families in Spain that want to improve upon their English skills. I, as their teacher, would give them lessons in English for 15 hours each week (M-F) in exchange for room and board (no salary, but that means that I wouldn't have to worry about getting a work visa).
It sounds like it could be a very interesting experience. It would give me an opportunity to practice teaching English to non-speakers in a small-group setting, and I would also have an chance to travel (which I really enjoy), practice my Spanish-speaking skills, and experience a different culture.
May God give me wisdom whether or not to pursue this new-found opportunity.
