A Sample Life is a blend of forces Adam and Stephanie who bring both their past (sample) lives and current search for life to the music they create. A lifelong musician and singer/songwriter, Adam brings years of instrumental and production experience to the project, citing sampling as Having been raised in the theatre belting showtunes and covering chic rock, Stephanie brings

In music, sampling is the act of taking a portion, or sample, of one sound recording and reusing it as an instrument or a different sound ...

sample: a small part of something intended as representative of the whole

uuuuuggggggghhhh I can't stay focused on this. I'm trying to write our little blurb/bio for the EPK and I'm not succeeding. I need to listen to the music as if it's not mine, then write about it like I'm hearing it for the first time. I've done that with much success with other bands, but I can't seem to supply a mini-bio for my own.
My lack of focus could be blamed on the fact that I've spent hours prior to this searching for a hotel deal in NY and then FINALLY finding one! I left my apt to focus on writing the EPK and wound up barely able to sit down at Sip for the excitement brewing inside. I just want to go shopping for fun clothes, meet Adam and rehearse, then curl up with the window open just a little so I can hear the rain and watch Newsies.

I'm on the edge of a lot of things coming true if only I could keep my feet on the ground and stay focused. I feel like my mind is all over the place when once I used to be able to rely on my drive alone to get tasks done, I know how to make myself sit down, get rid of distractions, and work work work.

But I just wanna dance!

hahahaha
I'm only somewhat serious there.
Damn Twitter has taken over my mind today. I don't know how many times I've checked that son-of-a-bitch today.

I feel like the classes I teach get better every week as I'm learning more and more about the clients and how to connect with them before, during, and after class. I'm learning what motivates them, and that connection in turn motivates me to not only challenge them in the studio, but to reach their emotions from a physical level. Using the energetic endorphin flow to calm or excite the mind is something that I feel sets me apart from other instructors. And the fact that I really do LOVE teaching. I'm going to be added to the LPAC/WAC/LVAC schedule with 2 step classes and 1 muscle definition class to start after labor day and I'm so excited. I've also been working a little more 1-on-1 with Tonya, my mentor/boss at Equinox to get approved to teach more formats. So hopefully I can get another permanent class on the schedule as well as be more marketable to Equinoxes in other cities....

16 days to New York.

And while I have no clue what's going to happen while we're there, I have every idea of how much fun we'll be having. Adam said, "Man, between your energy and mine, we're not going to sleep! Im so excited to run around with you!" (and yes, after he said that, I looked at him and we both quoted the "run around" dog voice from youtube).

Anyway, I'm going to try to get back on track here.
