It's been fairly quiet to tell the truth.. I worked Monday (huzzah for public holidays), and had the rest of the week working with Nana. Wednesday was all day at the hospital - but I did manage to meet my sister for lunch at a yummy Vietnamese restaurant in the Valley.
Last Saturday, I had a customer come in - a dear sweet lady who was applying for finance. Company 1 are known bastards and they knocked her application down flat. She was very upset about it - so I suggested we try company 2 - less well known, more user friendly. Of course they approved her straight away, and she was grateful.
Little did I know she'd write a letter to the manager of my store, who faxed it to head office.
Today I got an envelope from head office with my name on it an personal. I jokingly said - YAY! I'm fired! (my boss wasn't too impressed lol) - but it was a personal thank you letter from the General Manager of the company, attached to a copy of the letter the lady sent, and 2 movie tickets on the company. I'm sure
psychokitten76 will know when I say that the company I work for *coughsuperamartcough* are not particularly known for their generosity - so this was a surprise to everyone in the store.
I was stoked - hey - you don't get a letter from the GM every day - nor do you get FREE MOVIE TICKETS! w00t!
(and for anyone who's wondering - I have a hot date with my Nana to see the DaVinci code ;) )
