Today I wanted to see a rainbow. I didn't, which is a very sad story in itself but it led me to this conclusion:
Every time you look at the sky, hold your hands up high and dream, you make a wish. You say it with your eyes, your hands, your words. As these dreams fly away, your heart begins to pray. Dreams find a home, you can live on the moon, and watch the stars, you can swing from the swingsets in the park. But if you really want to come true, here's how. This is what you do, catch a ride on the wind, make it up past the clouds, and hold onto a bit of water. For if you do, you could stay here forever, you could fall back to earth, but what could happen? you could be lucky, you could be fate. Because once you've grabbed on, once you've tried hard. this my dear could happen to you. You can hang suspended in the sun, watching your brothers fall to the ground, drip past the grass, and once you've turned this way and that you can give birth to a new dream, a new hope. You can become a rainbow. Closing your eyes and feeling with your heart you can see your dreams over the bend. Lighting up the sun in prisms of yellow and blue and green, giving hope freely back to more hearts. Because the pot of gold is not at the end, it's on the string of hope that we all protect, it's alive in your heart, and we're all magicians. Because we all can answer prayers.

bosom She wore faded jeans, and soft black leather. She had eyes so blue, they looked like weather. When she needed me, I wasn't 'round. That's the way it goes, it'll all work out.
