Airports really really suck.
Making a detour to Las Vegas to get to Denver because a pilot couldn't be bothered to show up for his flight AND on rebooking us for a later flight the asshat at the counter brought us from Portland back to Atlanta with no return flight home.
Fan-fucking-tastic
So, as soon as I finish eating I get to stand in another line and yell at the counter people.
Yay.

So, first off the counter guy was not *that* stupid. It just didn't print the return to Roanoke on the ticket, and took Orbitz a bit to catch up. Luckily I caought this before I made an ass of myself at the counter.
Secondly, our 12:54pm to Las Vegas is delayed (big surprise...we have a full flight crew, but no plane...grrr) til 3:30 with an ETA of 4:38 which is great since our connection to Denver is leaving at 3:52. We have now been rebooked on a flight out of Las Vegas at 5:23pm to arrive in Denver at about 8:30.
Ugh...I wasn't bad earlier (I know it sounded bad...but I was generally in happy spirits...I mean it's vacation; we don't have specific plans) but now I'm just getting disgusted with the whole thing.
Edited at 9:33pm EST...but 6:33pm where I'm sitting*
Not that anyone cares anymore...if they ever did but we did make our Vegas flight (yay!) and I got to see the Grand Canyon, and the Vegas desert (which has most definitely been the highlight thus far). Looks like Mars from the sky....totally weird and unlike anything I've ever seen (in person). That's where the fun stuff ends though. We got off our Vegas flight at 5:30...ran down the concourse (luckily only a few gates) to our flight...only to see it out the window, and be told that it was gone...
So, here we sit...waiting on a 7:40 to Denver...which btw is going to land in Denver right about the same time a flight we got booked on from Atlanta this morning was going to...we opted for the Vegas flight (and 4 extra hours of air time, dealing with another airport, and timezones) because we were supposed to get there at 7.
I don't even know what to say anymore.
