I hate job searching. I've applied for about 20 jobs now and I've heard a few responses back saying they are really impressed by my resume however they still have more to look through so they'll give me a call within 2 weeks for an interview if i make the cut. I dont know to take that as a good thing of if its just a standard email style thing.
I got a call back on the tattoo receptionist i applied for. The guy wanted me in for an interview but i told him i was planning to go away in a few months and he said they needed someone for a steady year but theres no way i was going to wait for another year to piss off. Oh well atleast i felt good about it coz i was honest with them. It's better than taking it and then leaving on bad terms.
The weekend wasn't very exciting. Got down to neils early saturday morning and he was still asleep so vanora told me to go wake him up. We just ended up bumming around for the day but did some shopping in the afternoon. went around to jb hifi, the good guys looking for some travelling bbq/cooler, and then to the cararra markets just as they were closing up. Went out to the movies that night to see 'Stuck on You'. Got about 3/4 of the way but my head was thumping with a huge headache so we left. Got home, took drugs and fell straight asleep.
Sunday was basically another bum around day. We're getting quite good at it. Went out for dinner at cavs for kaity and vanora. It was a pretty good night. Kaity and hamish got vanora some really nice earrings and a rad little musical thingy. Was so full though after getting about half way through a chicken and bacon fettacine.
We had to go and move the van after dinner but when we got there sarah told us they were just gonna move the mini into the driveway so the van could stay. Neil still wanted to take it for a drive around the block but when he tried to start it the battery was dead. But anyways to cut the story short, hamish helped by jumping it , neil went around the block, came back and then we (sarah, neil and i) sat on the couch for about 2 hours talking about war, how weird the universe and gravity is, how useful towels are and vans. Good night over all.
Monday neil started night shifts at work so we had the whole day to do pretty much whatever. First we went and paid neils mobile bill and then we went looking for computer games coz for some reason i remembered wolfenstein 3d the night before and after neil downloaded it he wanted more. We went pretty much all over town looking at games and then we went into domaine and found this awesome water wall. I want one but they are PRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICEY! Found a really nice couch too. It was pretyt much 2 single beds pressed together as a couch. Very cool indeed.
Got home and watched a movie and then decided to have a nap. I never realise how well i sleep down there until i get home and have sleepless nights. I think i sleep better coz i have neil next to me when im there but when i come home its a double bed with just me in it. Kinda makes me sad but hey I've got the rest of the week to look forward to a couple of better sleeping nights again.
So yes i think thats all. Work tomorrow night. More job searching through the day. FUN FUN FUN.
