I am so bummed because she is not doing anything positive for women in politics. In fact I think she's setting women in politics back 30 years, but we have to remember to blame McCain for choosing her too. Grr.

I hear ya, sister. I'm more bummed at how all the excitement about her is a reminder that there are tens of millions of voters in this country who are going to base their decision in November on the fact that she just seems like the right kind of person to them. "She's loudmouthed about her Christianity! She hunts! I like her!" Just on the basis of that, she's got, like, 25% of the vote sealed up. No scandal could possibly shake their opinion. If it comes out that she stabbed 100 newborn babies last week, that 25% of voters will stay right by her side and blame the "liberal media" for demonizing her. Her extreme positions and her lack of fitness for the job, that's not even in the discussion for these people.

Sigh. Hope I'm not bringing you down.
