In the wake of Realms of Fantasy's relaunch, the past week or so has seen
a lot of discussion online about
fantasy magazine covers. Since I devote a large portion of my brain to
designing magazine covers, I've decided that this is going to be the primary topic for my kaffeeklatsch at Worldcon next week: REDESIGNING F/SF MAGAZINE COVERS FOR THE 21ST CENTURY. So pass the word around: 11am on Monday the 10th. (Location: P-521B.) Not sure if it will be listed in the program guide as "Weird Tales Kaffeeklatsch" or "Stephen H. Segal Kaffeeklatsch," but in either case, come on out and join the fun. We won't just focus on Weird Tales or the current RoF debate -- between now and then, I'll take a bit of time to go through the exercise of a "fantasy redesign" of a few iconic titles...
