You Put the Lime in the Coke, You Nut...
Okay, I thought about it, and I think now is the time to update you on a few fairly important aspects of my life. I was talking to Tina the other day and realized I never got around to mentioning some things. I'm not sure how many people who read this know, but I am now officially from a broken home. Way back at the end of August my mom filed for divorce and got a restraining order against my dad. He ended up living at my hotel for two months. Then my mom moved to Virginia. So now me and my daddy live alone in the house and he pays her my annual salary in alimony.
Also, she recently got "her half" of his 401-K and when she did she donated $2500 to each of us broken-home children. That $2500 put me over the top in my war against debt. The $13,000+ I owed when I first started this journal all those years ago, completely gone now. And I actually even have a bit of a savings on top of it. So I feel pretty cool.
So I guess that's really all my "big news." Oh! And Dennis Kucinich stayed at my hotel over the weekend. I bet about half of you reading this know who that is. You should feel bad for not knowing. Kara, I'm looking in your direction...
In more interesting news, I am totally psyched for tomorrow. And not because of green beer. Rather, I can't wait to watch the Congressional Steroids in Baseball Hearings! Baseball and politics COMBINED?! This is what I've been waiting for. If they added Star Wars, Sunkist, and Natalie Portman, this would be the greatest television event in my existence. I am so curious to see what McGwire, Canseco and the Gang will say under oath and what the congressmen will say to try to look like heroes to the American people.
And finally, for whatever reason, I really dig that Coke with Lime commercial. "Put the lime in the Coke, you nut and drink them both together..."
