Let me introduce you to the American public...
A woman comes to my desk and reads the headline of a local magazine: "Why New Hampshire Will Pick the President." (In an obvious reference to the fact that the race is so close that even NH's 4 electoral votes will likely have a big impact.)
She ponders this headline for a moment, turns to me and asks, "I thought we already picked Kerry in the presidential primaries?"
"Well, no, the election isn't till November 2nd," I say as politely as I can without bursting out in laughter.
"Oh, well then I better read this article!"
The woman proceeds to take the magazine into the breakfast room area where the Patriots game is on. She quickly begins dancing when the Patriots score a touchdown. The magazine is returned shortly thereafter.
