Glory Be... The Funk's in Me.

Yeah, that rhymes. I awoke today at 6:30 AM. I went to bed sometime after 2 AM. And I did this without the aid of an alarm clock. And even more amazing I'm not the least bit tired. The last few weeks I couldn't wake myself up before 11, so this is just fantastic.

I awoke to the sounds of Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me." This song always reminds me of
Alton because once long ago she made me a tape of songs and included this one.

The song was playing in the background of a scene in Up Close and Personal. It was about an hour in when I woke up, so I watched the end of it. And then when it replayed at 8:30 on the West Coast version of the channel I watched the first hour. It wasn't a terrible movie. In fact it was pretty good. I'd never watched it 'cause it seemed so chick-flick-ish, but I have to admit I pretty much enjoyed it. It's unfortunate I can't find anything else interesting on besides Up Close and Personal and Sportscenter this "early" in the morning though. Oh yeah, and Robert Redford dies at the end. :-) You're welcome.

After watching that I made myself some damn good scrambled eggs. I'm the only one who likes my eggs the way I do, kind of burnt till my eggs are half-brown and loaded with salt and pepper. No scrambled egg heart this morning, but they were still pretty good.

Since I have so much time I think I'll take my shower next and be officially ready to do.... well, whatever. I should have my own mug; "Steve Waterman: A Man Who's Ready to Do."
