I'm not normally a huge fan of Sundays, but this one just past deserved to be mentioned in dispatches.
In the morning,
manic_pixie700 and I auditioned for a production of Little Shop of Horrors. We went from there to San Churro in Leederville*, and saw the enormously entertaining
Seven Psychopaths at the Astor with
lilysea. By the time I returned home, with crocodile steaks in my backpack (thanks,
lilysea), there was email from the director offering me the role of Mr Mushnik, and
manic_pixie700 the part of Chiffon. We celebrated with fava beans and a nice Chianti a delicious spaghetti marinara and the DVD of the
1986 movie version.
I'll admit it wasn't a particularly productive day writing-wise, but wonderful nonetheless.
Click for weather forecast * I must commend Leederville for doing its best to encourage people to catch public transport to the cinema rather than driving, by putting a 1-hour limit on parking on Oxford Street with ticket machines that don't give change. If it keeps this up, it'll be Subiaco.
