The last few days I've been wrapping up everything for the summer. Thursday was my last day at Mechanica, which was a great experience this summer. It's so strange saying goodbye to people that you get to know over short to medium amounts of time.  Its just funny because all of a sudden you get up to go just like every other day but its like "Hey, I may never see you again". Luckily, the dudes at mechanica want me to keep in touch and let them know if I update my portfolio, etc which hopefully means they would consider me in the future if they needed work? They were all really nice and I had a fun time especially with the two younger guys there who would exchange funny youtube videos with me.

Tonight was my last night at Gary's Ice Cream which was a pretty interesting job. Probably the only ice cream stand I've ever seen with more guys then girls. Also the most ghetto place I've ever worked at, which was both awkward and funny. A lot of the times I didn't say too much, because they mostly talked about drugs, sex and cars (in that order), but by the end of the summer I'd started to enjoy working with a handful of them that turned out to be pretty cool and had other topics to talk about. Tonight was a shift with said cool people and it was fun. Again kind of strange leaving, especially since all of them are essentially quitting by the end of summer too, so I almost definitely won't see them again. We had some good times making fun of Gary and eating all kinds of ice cream.

Finally, I probably won't see any of the chumps I associate with in my home district for a while after school starts.Thats the one lame thing about the beginning of the year: that the busyness prevents you from seeing people off campus for like a month. But we did all do some fun stuff this summer so I can't complain. Although I think that since this is my last year in college (and consequently my last year of being a cool, hip and unrestricted person) some cool stuff is going to need to happen this year. Dude, I want to do some stuff! Skiing in the winter and some other sick adventures the rest of year are mandatory.

All in all, I guess this is nothing compared to all the goodbyes I'll have to say when I graduate. That will probably suck. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with a few people from college, but I guess thats up to this year. On a plus side, two of my cousins will be at Gordon this year so that will be fun.
