Statue Hunting
I have decided that for old time’s sake I’m going to update the livejournal. Usually I just use it to spy on my friends (especially when I’m supposed to be doing work). I had to wait for a good story to come along worth telling, but it wasn’t too long until funny stuff started happening, which is good I guess, so here is a brand new post:
For my Graphic Design class, my final project is to find a statue or sculpture, photograph and research it, and then use those photos and research to make a poster for it. So for a while I was stumped, cause I don’t really have many statues in my neighborhood, Lowell was flooded (but plus, I looked into it, they only had a wicked lame “worker” statue- not cool), and everyone else was obviously gonna do The Fisherman in Gloucester. But THEN I found this awesome statue in Bedford, with this guy running with a flag and stuff… it looked sweet! So I drove all the way to Bedford, MA, found the stinking park, and guess what?
The statue was gone. There was a giant hole in the ground where I knew it was supposed to be, no sign, no nothing, just gone. I got jokeshopped. I went shopping and got a joke.
But whatever, that’s cool cause I’ve moved on. I’m totally over the Bedford statue. I found a way hotter one in Beverly. This one is on the ocean and is called… “The Falconer”. Yeah, so basically I visited it yesterday, it decided to show up, and I took pictures of it (the problem was little kids kept climbing on it. I guess that shows how irresistible it is).
On a side note, I’ve been writing a wicked lame paper all weekend instead of enjoying the weather, which was kind of boring. At one point I decided it was more interesting to read all the receipts piled up in my room and I enjoyed that for a little while. But what is tickin’ me off is this butt-brain who keeps driving by on a moped right by my window back and forth like every five minutes. He’s like a Mo-sped!
Now that I went through all the time and effort to post this massive entry, I better get some good responses. I'm reaching out, so you 'regulars' better make it worth it lol. Don't leave me hanging.
