I wanna go higher
just waiting to board JetBlue flight 1257. ok I almost boarded the flight to San Diego..hehe. ok, I am at Gate 70, to Orlando. I have to chuckle. Well, I am leaving DC for home after spending 4.25 days here. I enjoyed walking around, seeing the city, visiting the sights I learned back in school & earning those blisters. I'm somewhat looking forward to going back to work. I did check me emails throughout the trip. Unfortunately, with the position I am in & the amount of responsibility I have I Must check my emails. There were a few important emails that needed a response, luckily enough my colleagues answered the questions.
Ok, I'm Still sitting here!!! we have not boarded, no information, nada. hmm I wonder if I'll be leaving on time or not! hah the airlines.
Know what ??? I'm bummed I didn't see Mike during this mini holiday. We texted Wed. & he was flying out that night to Brazil, flew in this morning. I asked him to come chill with me today since Charles was busy with work today. Mike was crashing out once he flew home. update! flight to Orlando is delayed to 645 rather than 620. This oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is good from PotBelly sandwich shop in the airport is quite tasty.
ok, ADD kicking in, sorry! DC was nice. ok, this description rather sucks for lack of descriptive adjectives and any sort of depth.
Let me restart:
Our nations capitol, DC, is filled with history of how we, USA, became what we are today. My 1st day here was spent by having dinner with Charles at this dive family Crab shack place....um yeah, I haven't the clue the name of the joint. Vanessa nor Jacob couldn't eat there. Jeremy may enjoy the relaxed environment, JR may have enjoyed it after the judging & bitching. haha All in all it was good food & company.
Thursday & Friday I spent walking around the city...visiting various monuments. I met this kind lady on the walk up to the Washington monument. she offered me a ticket to go up in the monument. Very sweet, giving and thoughtful.
Friday I murdered my feet, yes IT is possible to murder your own feet. I have proof! I thought about running on the treadmill today before leaving, but I'd rather not bring more injury to my feet.
Some lady is bringing a cat on board! Lovely..
Saturday, both Charles & I slept in. He had been waking up early every morning & I thought I'd give him a break. ;) Our day started late, arriving in DC @ 130pm. We toured the places he wanted to see & we went to 1 or 2 places that were on my list. Naturally, I did not see Everything that I had wanted. I wonder if I stuck it out longer in the city, rather than coming back early, if I would have seen Everything on my 'list'.
Charles liked his gift I made for his birthday. I spent time on it and put a lot of thought in it. Especially, with what he enjoys to do, films & his friends he misses the most.
Just a side note, I often wonder if I will be appreciated for what I do for others.
