We covered a news story today that I haven't been able to get out of my head. It's so disgusting and horrible, and I just need to rant on it for a minute. You can read the article here but I will sum it up in my completely biased ranty way.
Four teenage idiots were at a party this weekend. Two 18 year old boys, and two 17 year old boys. And what's a teenage party without sex? But I guess these guys found it hard to get girls through the usual methods, so they roofied a 16 year old girl. And since nothing says you're a sex god like giving it to an unconscious girl, these assholes decided to take pictures and videos with their cell phones so they could relive the moment over and over. And show all their friends, because again, having sex with someone who can't BLINK let alone say no means you're a stunning example of manhood.
So this girl comes to school on Monday, where one of her friends pulls her aside and shows her some of the pictures that are going around. Of these 4 guys raping her. This is the part I love... they probably could have gotten away with it... Apparently the girl didn't realize what had happened to her, which would be hard since she was unconscious. So if they'd just kept their mouths shut, and their phones in their pockets they could have gone on living their dirty rapist lives like nothing had happened. Thankfully for society, these boys are fucking idiots.
What I really, really love is that they're throwing the book at them. They're not talking a slap on the wrist. Their lawyer was going on today about how they've "never been in trouble before" well boys, you're in trouble now. I am SO PROUD of the DA, or the cops, or whoever it was who came up with these charges, because not only are they being charged with sexual assault, but hey, 16 year olds? Still minors. As in children. So taking pictures of them of a sexual nature? Yeah fuckers, that's child pornography. They've been charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography and distributing child pornography. I hope they try the two 17 year olds as adults. And the two 18 year olds? Well they're fucked. I hope they enjoy prison, and get put with nice, big, mean, horny old men. Since they're so cool with rape, I can only hope that they get to see the other side, without the benefit of drugs leaving them memory free.
