Cheap crap

Last year I bought a new suitcase for Swancon. It was by necessity cheap and nasty and acquired from Red Dot, but my previous cheap and nasty suitcase had also come from there and had survived several years' service, including a trip to Europe without me. I didn't mind; it sent postcards.

I brought just one suitcase with me to China. It has lost the stand (though fortunately not the wheels), and both the top handle and the bottom handle. It still has a thing that pulls out (and with some difficulty retracts), and wheels that work, and zips that close. When it is time to leave here I will stuff everything in it, gaffa tape it close, and hope desperately that it gets back to Australia without falling apart.

At least it wasn't brand new, is the point of my story. I have no advice for your adventure, except that I wish you some form of success.

And I wish I were going to Swancon.
