The news is good!

Very happy to report that I made it into work today for the second day in a row, and this time lasted for a "full" day of 3 1/4 hours. My policy of aggressive rest is bearing fruit, and now the frustration is turning to reward.

Still struggling to come up with suitably catchy PC language to describe inappropriately active former employees who require manual termination. Can't really get past "zombies" for which there is some enthusiasm in the office. Also drawing diagrams to explain evil twins with fake ID and histories of dubious value. One option involves absolute destruction of the more evil of the twins, so the trick there is deciding which one stays, and which one goes.

So sad that I never get around to writing genre fiction. Real life is so dull ;-)

Speaking of decisions, it's all very well to compare two data sources to find conflicts, but the most important part is figuring out which version is correct or at least the least worst or wrong. Right. Mostly.

I love my job. I'd like to do it some more. Despite barely showing my face for the last month they welcomed me back (again) and expressed concern for my welfare (again). My lurching walk might have helped the sympathy factor. Apart from the tight leg--and it's just the left side now--I'm feeling quite good. OK, I am OVERJOYED to have done some meaningful work for a change. The business is doing really well too, so insofar as I have job security of any kind, that's good news too.
