So basically...i love san francisco. I've been through a couple low points where i realized i had no friends or making enough money to make it in this expensive-ass city. Minimum wage is $8.62!!! It has to be that way because it's so damn expensive to live here! ...But worth every penny...
3 jobs later I'm back at the hostel...working my other jobs made me appreciate this one so much more. I get $10/hr to sit at a computer and talk to crazy people (everyone that stays here is nuts! Because it's on federal land, we don't have the right to kick people out becuase their crazy or sketchy like in boston)But at the same time, i make it known that i don't put up with their bullshit. Last night was just like being back at the boston hostel back in the day. I worked with Yochai all day and Tobyn came in for the overnight shift and we got to hang for an hr. (this is old school boston staff, they moved to SF shortly after lance got hired and we moved in with Shannon...oh the good old days)
I worked at this stupid coffee shop 2 blocks away from me and got fired for not setting the alarm one night, then i got hired at Urban Outfitters and shortly afterwords got a 2nd job at Lush (this organic soap store). Lush laid me off because they didn't have anymore hours to give anyone for January, and i've just had enough of Urban so saturday is my last day and it's back to hostelling. I've been trying to get a job at STA Travel since I moved here, but they haven't had any job openings. I'm still trying to get a 2nd job there and stay at the hostel...the ultimate travelling jobs to hook me up with my adventure around the world!
I've also decided i need to go back to school. i need to learn something. I'm not sure what i want to study. Lance is taking some Japanese classes...learning japanese and all. I think i'm gonna go to school here, i get a huge discount if i live in CA for a year, until then i think i might lear spanish, and Italian maybe. But when i do go to school i want to do a semester at sea (really travel the world while i'm studying!) Well, this is my long-ass entry...don't expect too many more
