(no subject)
OK! So I'll try to give a little bit more detail here:
So on St. Pattys me and big group of our friends were at the Brunswick but the music sucked (all shitty hip hop and crap) so me and Farah and John left to go to a bar across the street where there was live music (much more st. pattysish) and so we had an awesome time etc. but around 12 we decided we should switch bars again so we started walking towards this other one we'd seen early in the day (apparently a bad idea). Anyways the just of it is that we started down a street, found out it wasn't the right one so were going across to continue walking and got hit by a silver car (all three of us). Farah got hit of the side and kind of ricocheted and spun on the pavement (john and i didnt see it at all it happened way to fast) and then john got hit and fell off and i got hit and rode on the hood for a bit and then spun off :P anyways farahs back was hurting so they put her on a stretcher and we rode in an ambulance to the hospital and spent most of the night there while she got xrays... but everyone was fine.
But holy crap I have lost all faith in the health and police system. ONe: me and john were both HIT BY A CAR and all they did for us was ask us our names and then said we MIght be allowed in the hospital. they didn't admit us as patients they just totally ignored us. it was terrible i mean john was practically crying... we could have at least had someone ask us how we were you know. And Two: the policeman asked DRUNKEN bystanders what happened and then determined we were at fault because we had been j-walking... but i sat with the hysterical in shock driver for like ten minutes after we were hit trying to calm her down and i swear to god she was intoxicated... I mean she said she hit the friggin gas pedal instead of the break by accident!! I dont think they even breathalised her! and we were not that drunk either.. like two beers the both of us we were just tipsy and john was totally sober cause he doesnt drink... we looked to see if the light was for us before we walked we just werent in the lines and i think the same thing or worse would have happened if we were in the lines.
Anyways we all spent yesterday in the hospital waiting to get checked up cause my leg was in serious pain and we all had sores that were starting to show up. but we're all fine, my leg is getting easier to walk on so its not broken :) annnnd thats basically my st. pattys story for this year! now i can say ive been hit by a car... another life experience to check off the list? hehehehe....hehe...hee.....
