Update?
So, I abandoned my lj over the summer... and I figure now, the night before I leave to go back to school, I should do a little recap...
May-July:
-Moved to NYC
-Met the guy that snuck in to the mtv VMA's and was given his own show.
-Was told by strange man that I 'looked like I stepped out of a macy's window'
-Made friends with a guy who turned out to be a homeless man
-Had my hair pulled by a girl at work
-Had said coworker tell me that 'no one liked me'
-Felt akward for eating lunch at work, and was told to 'just eat a banana or something'
-Took hula hoop lessons in a park near union square
-Went to two shows at CBGB's before they shut down completely this upcoming October
-Ate chickpea falafel every chance I got
-Had risa and kevin come and visit for a weekend
-Saw RxBandits and feared for my life taking the J train late at night
-Cut straight-forward bangs and regretted the decision once they began growing out
-Did absolutely nothing tourist-y except go shopping in Soho, eat at serendipity, and go to central park
-Finaly got to see Dylan's candy bar after hearing about it on the food network a few years ago.
July 1-8
-Spent a week in Lake George NY with kevin and his family
-Learned how to waterski
-went intertubing and although felt like my arms were going to fall off, kept wanting to go back out
-became addicted to sudoku puzzles
-had one of the most relaxing weeks of the year
July 8-Now
-Came home
-Had a trampoline setting up party
-Kevin came out to visit for a week
-Went to Cannon Beach, Lincoln City, multnomah falls, the Oregon Trail
-Warped tour 06 with kevin, maggles, and christina
-Saw some amazing bands, and got autographs from bouncing souls, anti-flag, less than jake
-got to eat at montage, rimskys, and voodoo
-had a vegan donut
-went to a foam party at FX
-saw Clerks 2, Taladega nights, john tucker must die, monster house in 3D, Snakes on a Plane
-went to 2$ tuesday at the zoo where magaly and I saw 'escape from dino island' in 3D, which was pretty amazing
-worked about a week at Nordstrom
-had a hilarious trampoline party on my birthday, where devin yelled at dominos
-Played with light sabers in the park that made real noises and lighted up, which pretty much made my year
-Went camping in Lincoln city with Magaly, hans, and haley
-Had many family dinners
-Did a lot of sewing
-and now that I'm leaving... it feels like summer went by incredibly fast.. and while I'm sad that I wish I could have seen more people/hung out with people more, I'm really excited to get back to school/NY
