Yup.
At three a.m. New York City time, the union representing Transit Authority workers went on strike.
There is NO subway train or metro-bus service in the city.
Good luck to the strikers! More later, I gotta go to work.

The working class in this country is treated like utter crap, and when one subset of it rises up in protest, it doesn't make them the enemy of the rest of the workers - despite what the puppetmasters would have you believe. It is because they are brave enough to make a stand such as this that they are able to get "much better than a lot of people get" (even though it is still a mere pittance compared to those who do nothing useful and walk away with billions of dollars). Those who have the spine to say 'how much is it really worth to you for us to keep doing what we do?', who will then walk out and stop doing it if the offer is not sufficient, are the true heroes.
News flash: we live in a feudal system of wage-slaves. The workers should show solidarity with each other AGAINST the greedy corporate and government masters, not bicker amongst themselves about who got the bigger crust of bread while the masters feast on the labours of the workers.
