So last night we did the second round of auditions. i had completely transposed and changed the tempo of my piece..but i ended up singing it as it was written at the last minute. i didnt even think while doing it...but i guess i pulled it off ok...people told me i was good... stemen this morning told me he was very impressed with my voice and thought that i would do very well in the applied program if i were to get in it when i try out next sem. i was able to tap into my "inner soprano" so to speak. hehe. i cant wait to see if i made the cut...expecting an email this weekend.... *waits nervously for the outcome* i hafta say..my fave solo last night...was by far...jeff's. i knew he could sing..but i didnt know he could belt like that. seriously...WHAT A VOICE! i felt bad for caitlin....she mistook the word "solo" for solo in a choral arrangement piece.. not "solo" as in a song. she should have done something from the musical...she wouldve done greatly then.
on a side note... philosophy is good...sociology is getting tougher....grrrr...radio television is actually good... (a word about that...something ive come to realize over the years...is when a teacher LOVES the thing they teach...it shows...even if the subject is boring or a complete snooze fest...if they love it....it shows in the way they try their best to make it interesting..and how they come alive just talking about it....mr. witt... is one of those people....he LOVES what he teaches....so even though it is somewhat boring...its also a real treat to be taught by someone who loves what they teach.)
also going to talk to anderson today about joining her voc. tech 2 class....
also i dont think i posted this last time..but the rents have decided to allow me the extra 1.5 - 2 years it will take to become a vocal music major....YESSSSSS!!!!! score man....score!!!
