Better late than never

I just finished watching the Season 4 Doctor Who episode "Midnight" for the first time. EEK! It was far, far creepier than most of their monster episodes, because it wasn't the monster who was the real danger, here - it was the ordinary, perfectly decent human beings who became terrifying as they reacted all-too-believably to danger. I don't think that's embarrassing at all. Our bodies do affect how we feel--as you know, of course. Recognizing your limits seems so much smarter than just bulling on through because you SHOULD be unaffected.

I think I was 25 when I stopped feeling guilty about painkillers (like tylenol or aspirin). Still kinda proud of myself for getting over that.

Yes! I've fought internal battles over those as well. Hooray for getting through it and taking what we need to, when we need to, now...

I thought Midnight was one of the scariest things they've ever done on Doctor Who. Brilliant episode. Though I also loved Silence in the Library. I wish that when they wrapped up Donna's arc in Tennant's finale that her fiance had been the stammering husband from Silence in the Library.

Ohhhh, that would have been such a wonderful ending for the Donna arc! Now I feel wistful... :)
