Garden pics

Taken in the rain, so they're a bit blurry and I was only able to get what I could take from the porch. The rock garden and the little Japanese irises blooming along the back fence are also gorgeous but my camera isn't waterproof. Everything is looking very lush and green and what's in bloom is blooming like crazy. A disturbing amount of that lush green fuzz on the ground will be coming out this Saturday--apparently the feverfew sweet annie decided to take over the world this year--the little suckers are EVERYWHERE. But still, a fair bit of the rest is seeds I planted, so I really can't complain

Herb garden on the right and the big bed on the left from the front porch. The giant green thing on the stairs is a flat of geraniums I bought from a co-worker's fundraiser. I don't know where I'm going to put 12 geraniums. Want a geranium?:)

Look at all those columbines! (they're the pink, purple, and red flowers behind the porch pots)

More columbines! plus sedums, poppies, balloonflower, and lots of little linaria, cleome, butterfly weed, and other seedlings. Toward the back you can see one of my cute little flop-eared friends hiding from the rain under that godawful angelica (which is so totally coming out this weekend). Of course, he'd be cuter still if he'd eat the angelica--or the damn dandelions--instead of my echinacea.
