Anniversary
Yesterday was our anniversary... nuff said. That's a special day, as everyone knows. What an anniversary marks is a full year of withstanding the odd behaviors and moods, the quirkiness(es), the occasional disgruntlements, the blandness of everyday routine, the wonders of how creative your mate really is, the sheer ecstasy of shared insights, and the all-so-needed cuddling that all of us crave for. So each anniversary is really special to me, to us, and yesterday was no exception.
I won't go into details (would be boring for anyone but Ellen & I), but suffice it to say that all requisites were met: nice presents, a scrumptious dinner at Ruth Chris's Steak House (yum, they do know how to bring that yummy piece of fillet in a sizzling dish), some home movie watching (sample dialog:"hey, I had more hair then"... "hey, I was thinner then"), and no, you can't ask what the movies were about! And lots of cuddling, for Ellen is truly a special person and I feel so lucky to have known her for 14 years, lived together for 13, and been married to her for 12.
The special thing about our anniversary is that the three above-mentioned life-changing events occurred right around the same date... is that magic, or what?
