I am Eric Dostie, I am a friend of quite a few of your 8th grade (9th grade when school starts), and I have seen you a few times at Oak Valley as you worked in the choir room.

As you have stated, none of my arguments will come close to the Word of God, but I wish to voice my opinion nonetheless.

I agree that the Bible has been scientifically proven that it is a document of history. Yet I fail to see any research that explains how a higher plane of existance (Heaven) exists. Though I do believe Hell is completely possible as demonology presents to us that demons can haunt a location or person and exert physical forces on that person.

If a person was attacked by the devil, in my opinion, around the time they became homosexual, they would most likely receive physical or mental... anomolies. As I belive in ghosts, spirits. I believe they could feel a number of things. They may feel cold, physical pressure being exerted on them from nothingness. A number of mental anomolies could arise as well. But this would only happen if they were attacked by the devil, which is possible, as if there are pure, or good spirits, there are evil ones as well, the balance of nature.

I do not believe in God personally, because the evidence is not out there, aside from the Bible. Though anyone could have written the Bible, though that goes into philosophy, abstractness, and all other things that could say that other research is pseudo as well.

Personally, I believe no one can say what happens after death. All we know is that your energy must be released from your body as your nervous, cardiovascular, and all other systems shut down. Because it is a well known law of physics that energy cannot be destroyed.

But you are correct, it is all about faith. Faith being believing in something without logical or material proof.

I have faith, just not in the same things as you.

Well Eric, you seem like a very "school" educated young man and I totally understand your wish to voice your opinion because I am the same way.

I am however really confused to your hypocritical statement that you believe the Bible is true documents of History but not proof of God. Read Genesis, read how Adam and Eve had a relationship with God and walked with him in the Garden every evening. Read about how Jesus made Lazarus rise from the dead in God's name. Read about how he healed the blind and sick. Read about how he died on the cross for you so that when you die if you confess His name and that he died for you to save you from Hell you won't end up there. It's all true. I don't know how a "man" can make another man who had been dead for 4 days come back to life but through God.

And second, its not always the same as what you see on tv or hear, that if you are posessed by a devil you feel cold or feel something, it happens in the spiritual realm and you can't feel that always. I personally have seen things, with MY eyes. You can have a devil be in control of you and you don't have to feel it, not everyone does, it's just a stronghold they have on you because you don't have that personal relationship with Jesus and The devil is here to kill steal and destroy (bible) so obviously he can kill a gay man through AIDS and destroy relationships with straight friends or family, and attack them in that way.

And as I said before, thats where faith comes in. There is a bible story of when Jesus rose from the dead, people saw him but his disciple Thomas did not believe it until "he could put his hand in his side and through the holes in his hand" Thomas didnt have faith until he saw the proof. Jesus said blessed are those who have faith but do not see, and that my friend would be me, and I am very blessed.

Your statement:
I do not believe in God personally, because the evidence is not out there, aside from the Bible.

to be honest is absolutly ridiculous. "aside from the Bible" the Bible's all you need.

I appreciate you're effort, but I believe you could be a very strong soilder for Christ if you read the Bible and believed it and believe what Jesus Christ did to save you. You seem very intelligent and able to hold onto information well. God wants you to have His word in your heart and you'd be good at that. He saved me and I can't describe the love I feel, but I am always here to talk, and I will pray with you if you would like.

I apologize for my hypocritical statement of about the Bible. You said that scientists had proven that it was a real document of history.

After you said that I quickly remembered you were correct.

If you wish to talk, my screen name is *l Pure Clarity l*, no asterisks.

By the way, when I was talking about feelings you receive when being touched or near a spirit, those did not come from TV. I have felt things from spirits, they were from my personal experiences, though TV shows, and many "ghost hunters" also have had experiences. "Ghost hunters" being people who wish to learn more about spirits.

Well thats just where I heard about it from, and even I have felt things like that too. I do appreciate your very calm and inteligent way of arguing which is why I had no problem with it at all. We both have our beliefs and respect each others even if we think they are wrong and thats the way a mature person handles things
