I hadn't been to the laundry mat in ages. I forgot that the dryers take years to dry and the washers - well, they don't really wash.

If we hadn't had six, yes SIX loads to do, I would have taken our crap down to Covina and done it at Craig's. Next weekend, I'll be making the 15 minute drive and saving my ass $1.25/wash and $ .25/eight minutes to dry.

I woke up this morning to semi wet slacks and freezing cold socks. I heard Tony bitching about the same issues as I was, but he knew not to bitch directly at me about it, since it was his idea to "just take them out, they'll dry at home."

bullshit I tell ya, bullshit.

My mom & I lived in many apartments, and as a kid, I always enjoyed going to the laundry mat. I'd play with other poor folk kids and my Mom would make all of my clothes smell yummy for the next week of school. Oh, to be a kid again. In the last years of my Mom's life, she got a lil anal. She would iron my brothers clothes, even their play clothes. Crazy nut. When I moved back in with her to help out, she insisted that I iron my brothers play clothes. I told her I did, but instead I snuck them into the dryer to make them warm & wrinkle free. She was so proud of me for being such a great iron{er}. Hello Mom, you never taught me how to iron, how did you expect me to just pick it up? There's no way I'd stay sane if I spent 15 minutes ironing a pair of shorts only for them to come back to me filled with grass stains & dirt an hour later. I would have gone mad! Mad I tell you, mad!
