"Why digital music?" Hongki asked Jonghun. It was a little over a week since Hongki had filmed with Minhwan, and Hongki's trips to the cafe had increased to at least once a day, the distraction of Jonghun taking away his thoughts of Jjong.
"Random much?" Jonghun countered with a chuckle.
"I'm just wondering." Hongki explained, his fingers tightening their hold on Jonghun's. They acted like a couple, the amount of skinship they shared was envied by most couples, they just hadn't confirmed it to themselves.
Jonghun smiled, "it's a boring answer, I just really liked the syllabus and the topics covered. It suits me more than a normal music degree or traditional music. That and the fact that I don't need to sing to pass it."
"I bet you have an amazing singing voice." Hongki said, causing Jonghun to blush.
"I can hold a tune, but my voice isn't powerful. I probably should have taken singing lessons when I was younger." Jonghun explained. "I'm not terrible or anything."
"I want to hear you sing." Hongki demanded.
Jonghun chuckled again, "maybe." He stole a glance at his wristwatch. "My break is over." Jonghun said, removing his fingers from Hongki's, giving him a sad look.
"Go out with me tomorrow night." Hongki said suddenly, grabbing onto Jonghun's arm to keep him from leaving.
"Like a date?" Jonghun asked quietly, his wide eyes meeting Hongki's gaze.
Hongki chuckled, "yeah, a date." He relinquished his hold on Jonghun. "Give me your phone number."
Jonghun quickly pulled a pen from his apron, writing the number on a stray napkin.
"Address." Hongki demanded as Jonghun moved to put the pen away.
"You're demanding today." Jonghun smiled, writing the address on the napkin.
Hongki grinned as he grabbed the paper, cherishing Jonghun's neat writing. "I'll text you later." Hongki stood.
"Where are you going?" Jonghun asked. Hongki usually stayed until the end of his shift.
"I have a date to prepare." Hongki grinned at Jonghun, before surprising them both as he pressed a soft kiss to Jonghun's cheek. "See you tomorrow."

Hongki groaned, the severity of what he had done finally hitting him.
"Are you on drugs?"
Hongki blinked, glaring at the person that had asked the question. "Of course not, hyung."
"It's just your mood swings are starting to give me whiplash." Heechul complained, making a show of rubbing his neck before giving Hongki a grin. "You were happy when you got here, now you look utterly depressed."
"I asked Jonghun on a date." Hongki said, his head coming to rest on the desk in Heechul's dorm. "Tomorrow night."
"After your next filming?" Heechul asked, causing Hongki to groan, "did you forget about work too?"
"What am I going to do Hyung?" Hongki whined, staring at Heechul. "Give me advice."
"It's your mess." Heechul said, before softening, "do you really like him?" Heechul asked. "Is he worth it?"
Hongki nodded slowly. "I think so."
"You have to be sure." Heechul patted Hongki on the arm, knowing that his next words were likely to be painful to hear. "You can't have both, remember what happened with Wonbin."
Hongki blanched, the memory still imprinted in his mind, the scene playing in his head. "What if he finds out?" Hongki asked quietly, "What if he leaves me the same way that Wonbin did?"
"Wonbin was an idiot. If he likes you, then he'll forgive you and forget your past." Heechul said. "Everyone has a few skeletons in their closet, and I'm sure he'll have some too."
"You're right." Hongki admitted.
"Take him on this date. If it's really meant to be, then leave the industry. Get out and don't look back." Heechul ran a hand through Hongki's hair in a comforting motion.
Hongki nodded, before brightening. "Hyung, now give me advice about the perfect date."
