FB and Twatter Cross-Posting
I've only just really heard about this cross-posting nonsence. I'm gonna say the same as pretty much everyone else on my F/list:
DO NOT LINK ANYTHING FROM MY JOURNAL/ MY COMMENTS TO A FB OR TWITTER ACCOUNT.
I have private content in my journal, hence it's friends locked. I am appauled that others can post your own private content without needing your permission, espeially as I have a paid account. I feel that I cannot even pay for my own privacy anymore.
If I find anyone has posted content to a FB or Twitter account, I WILL INSTANTLY DEFRIEND YOU AND LET ALL OF OUR COMMON F/LIST KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN UP TO! However, I love and trust you all so I don't think that will happen.
I've stolen this from krazykipper . it's a way of removing the reposting buttons from your journal.
There is a way to disable everything. Here is what you have to do:
1. Go to your "Journal" menu, and select "Journal Style"
2. To the right, you'll see what theme you're using, with a link stating "Customize Your Theme". Click that link.
3. Scroll down a little ways, and you'll see that on the left side of your screen, you have multiple options to modify your theme. Click on the "Custom CSS" link, and it should load the options for doing Custom CSS.
4. From here, all you have to do is go to the "Custom Stylesheet", and put in that line.
.b-repost-item {display:none}
once you have it pasted in there, save changes.
Meh, I'm so annoyed LJ has disregarded our privacy like this!
