So, last year I was incredibly disappointed that with everything going on in my life, I couldn't participate in NaNoWriMo, despite already having ideas for a story planned.
I'm determined to at least attempt it this year (I have no expectations to actually complete it). Is anyone else on my f/list going to do it?
My story is going to hopefully be a fantasy based story- I love books such as LOTR, A Song of Ice and Fire and The Elder Scrolls gaming series. I am loving the contrast to fan fic- here I can actually let my imagination go wild, because I can create the boundaries of reality and create characters to what want them to be. The only problem is that I seem to have a lot of plot bunnies for darker characters than I do for the hero/ heronine chartacters at the moment :(
I was wondering for those of you who are going to/ have done in the past, do you write to music? If so what type of music? I have to admit that I tend to be most productive listening to classical music as well as soundtracks to things such as LOTR, Skyrim, Fringe and LOST. I also particularly like acoustic versions of songs as they seem to really get my creative juices flowing. I may even post a mix list of all of the songs that will be on repeat constantly in November while I am trying to do this.
