under milkwood
Hey guys
the character that i am assuming is polly garter
in under milkwood i am portrayed as a basically hore, who only wanted to havw babies and did not care what anyone thought of me
in a town where people are alawas gossiping and comenting on what the other person is wearing or who they are sleeping with or even when they go to chruch and how often they g, it is hard to feel like you actually belog to any certian group, becasue everyone is talking about everyone and everyone is friends.
to me living in a town whwere i dont really know wherei stand and dont really have a care to know it feels to some extent a burden and yet i feel quite free and liberated at the same time. Knowing that people are talking about me is not a nice feeling, however in sayign that knowing that tehy are tlaking about me also goes to show how much of an impact i have actually had on this community.
the fact that i have a number of children to different fathers nad do not live with any one of them shows to the people that on one hand i am independant and self reliant, but on the other hand i may be selfish and in so many words a hore
either way living in this town allows me to be me and not care what others think
