So I've been sick for about three weeks now. I went to the doctor at Health Services last Tuesday and she told me to stay away from milk... yeah, thanks, I already knew that and I still don't feel any better. So I have another appointment tomorrow. In the meantime, I skipped journalism twice, and while I'm sure I didn't miss anything important, it's still not cool. I also called in sick to work twice, and basically decided that I should just quit, because, as much as I really like the job, it's not fair for me to call in sick all the time and then put in my two weeks notice on Saturday. I spoke to the human resources manager, and he just told me to go talk to the manager tomorrow, and see if something can be worked out. I hope that I can just re-apply in September and start then. I just really need to spend some quality time in bed with all the reading I need to catch up on right now.
I also need to find $7,000 so I can take the summer intensive course at The New School in June... this should be interesting, as my mother quickly vetoed the idea. Can we say grandparents? I don't want to ask them, but I really want to study there... it seems like a really intense program and I think it would be good for me. At the very least, better than EYC, but then that isn't really saying much.
Hmm... I really need to write two articles for journalism and send an e-mail to my professor expalining my absense. I really hate him. He's one of those assholes who likes to stand up in front of a class just to boost his ego. He's super-critical of everyone and makes us right in these ridiculous formulas, which I hate. If the best writers are praised because they break the mold, then why are we taught to write in one to begin with?
What else??.... the lovely and talented KIM might be coming this weekend for Northeastern's Springfest concert. I also might be working hospitality...standing around waiting to get people coffee. I signed up but never got a confirmation e-mail. So we'll see.
The weekend after that is Easter, so I'll be home Saturday night until Monday afternoon... and then I move back for the summer April 28th, so somewhere in there is gonna be a new car party. And by party I mean picnic on the lawn admiring how pretty the car is, while keeping all food and beverage away from the vehicle.
I could so go for a brain freeze and emo Slave boy right now...
but even if that were possible, I should stay away from milk.
