its the holidays that make you sit and think about who misses out on what....
i was sitting on the couch wondering
what his face would have been like when i told
him that in 9 months he would have his fist grandchild.
or the smile and tear in his eye when fallon first
looked at her greatgrandfather
or what he would have told me the last minutes that i was single
what advice he would have told me to prepare me to become a wife
or the proud look on his face when he first saw my brother straighten up his act and get a steady job and his own place... or the way he would have just known how clayton protects his niece
its sad to know that he'll miss his granddaughters first smiles her first steps and words and then her first day at school
or falling asleep on his chest when she has a cold like i use to
or the sadness you feal to know that fallon will never know that fealing either
