Emusic is easy to love and hate at the same time.

Let me clarify. Their prices are extremely reasonable, and the site is easy to use. I found a big pile of Birthday Massacre, Collide and Sabaton. I'll say my $12 was worth it for just that.

What's terrible is their selection. Okay, so it might not be reasonable to expect Alex Parks, ICP or E. S. Posthumous on any given music database. But you can't get Kid Rock, Guns 'n' Roses or Rush there, either. And you can't just get the one song you want off certain albums; sometimes you are inexplicably required to buy the whole album. (Sorry Survivor, I like some of your music, not all of it.) So while my $12 was worth it for the first month worth of downloads, I doubt it'd be worth it for me to continue my subscription for a second month.

Paying for music legally seems really hit-or-miss. I might try buying music again sometime in the future. Then again, I might just go torrent it like everyone else.
