WELL that sucked! Just wrote about a page of what has been going on so far on the trip and somehow I managed to deleat it all! YAY ME! Back to the beginning. SO I have now been away from home for just over 2 weeks. London was amazing a great city. From London we flew to Frankfurt then caught the bus to Mainz to stay over night with my aunt. Early on last Saturday moring we started our journy with a train...well about 4 trains south to Papignan in the south of France. So 4 trains and like 15 hours later we get in to this tiny French town at around 11 at night. We found a fairly nice little Hostel and spend then night. The next morning we head back to the train station to catch 2 trains to get to Barcelona (having decided the pervious day that we would skip Pamplona due to the fact it takes forever to get there with tons of back tracking.). Somewhere between the bakery and the train station someone nicked my wallet. At the time it contained more that and travel should ever keep in ones wallet. My Visa Card, my debit card, drivers licence 50€ ect, all gone to some person...now that is what I call a pain in the ass. I called my perants at around 3 in the morning their time to ask them if they would please cancell my card and set the nesisary wheels in motion to get a new card to Spain our next destination. We arrived in beautiful Barcelona at around 7 pm that evening and spend a couple hours walking around looking for a cheap nice place to stay. Both of the hostels that Graham ahd wanted to stay at were unfortunatly full. We found a...funky little pensione just off of Las Rambla for a reasonable 15€ a night. Barcelona is a very a cool city. Deffinatly a young person party desination. We met alot of really great people doing the same thing as we are. All of them having different stories of Good times and thier share of hardships. A surprising number of people also had troubles similar to mine of having to mooch off of their buddies to manage to get around traveling sans wallet. The weather in Barcelona was great. First day I spent a good 4 hours on the phone with Visa trying to get the card sent to Madrid....I swear I talked to the same people over and over again until one disided to break the circle and then connect me to some one who could actually help me! So the card is on the way to Madrid! YAY! Only another 4 days more of mooching! more later
