last night saw true west by sam shepard with margie and beka and karen. it was in a small theatre somwhere deep in Chelsea. Very small theatre. today am seeing waiting for godough (sp) by beckett by royal dublin theatre.
what else-- saw robert downey jr. walking around in greenich. dana saw laura from project runway, heath ledger in green market, tony kushner sighting. haley joel osment of couse. robbie benson at work.
justine and i are working on a screenplay together. am just finished a stageplay/one man show that i started a few weeks ago. heard jenny perna is going home? strange.
started email correspondance with neeli cherkovski, bukowski's biographer. interesting man. talking to him so far once on the phone. good friend of harold norse, my 90 year old beat poet friend who just, sadly, checked himself into nursing home. i think ill still write to him though. strange, small world. they all lived in the exact same area that i do now just some __ years ago. the window next to my bed overlooks st. marks in the bowery, the famous liberal church of auden and ginsberg, berrigen, and frank o'hara.
saw sherrill tippins talk on auden and chester - hose they all shared in brooklyn. went to the met. for school. darfur rally in central park.la palapa the mexican restaraunt / old apartment of trotsky and auden. stood in iraq war protest with along 5th avenue - number the dead. what else.. i dont know. enjoying nyc. enjoying classes immensly.
i dont think anyone even reads lj's anymore. i just dont have a paper journal at the moment.
