brief review of a great weekend

my love came up to visit me this weekend and it was fantastic! we spent two wonderful nights together and went to see shakespeare in the park and spent glorius quality time together.  a month of not seeing eachother is just much toooooooo long.  but then it was time to leave.  not any specific time, but it could be felt as hard as wood, and i knew it would improve nothing to try to prolong his stay by a few  hours.  and now he is making the long drive home and i miss him already, a feeling clear and sharp as a knife. felt kinda bad, like there wasn't enough going on to entertain him, although i know for myself that spending time with him anywhere doing anything, be it conquering the world or taking a nap together, are equally wonderful.  And my guess is that his feelings are similar on the matter.  It just feels so right to be near him, the "natural order of things".  It was a short weekend, but one of infinite value.
*sigh* i want him back so there can be more enjoyment

This whole shakespear in the park thing is so fun.  we saw the play "taming of the shrew" which was very comedic, surprising considering the age of the play, but the actors were pretty talented, and part of one of the costumes involved a large protrusion below the belt region.
We brought along a cute picnic of sanwiches (that i made myself, thankyouverymuch) and wine.  mmm, so romantic.  i can't wait to see him later this week
....i hope his drive home is safe.

and now i'm off to figure out what to do with myself...there's a concert at the CFA, maybe i'll check that out.
