As always, brilliant, brilliant writing, with so many layers, and surprises. I've already read this new installment several times since it was posted: each time, there's something additional to notice.
The description of the postcards from Thirteen is elegiac; you show how his awareness of the changing details of her writing is as much a symptom as the actual content of her messages.
And I love the way in which Wilson reveals the fact that House is needing to distract himself from the impending blood test, and so has 'managed' his staff to disappear so that he can pursue his own agenda.
...And the way that you show Kirsten and Wilson talking about the same events, and both clearly not getting why the other person in their relationship was not seeing things their way: perfect.
The way that you write Cuddy's inner conflicts, and struggles to keep the hospital on an even keel, and the myriad people she needs to keep happy is, as always, so true. Elsewhere in your stories, you show House musing about what makes Lisa Cuddy Lisa Cuddy...but when you get inside her mind like this, we all understand.
I am terrified of the fact that you have promised only one more chapter in this story. I really don't want there to be an end to the Sharkverse :-(
