so for the first time in a long time, I'm no longer a resident of the MC...it feels weird, yet rejuventing...

there's this guy in my North American geog class...he's possibly the rarest person on earth....a republican who is ACTUALLY fiscally conservative, AND he is not a Christian...I can respect this because

A) he has good reasons to be conservative, which I cannot nessicarily argue against because I'm not an economy whiz, but happen to disagree with, and
B) he doesn't allow a work of iction to decide who he votes for in elections...

speaking of which, neocons piss me the fuck off...in my microeconomics class tonight, we were talking about efficiency versus equity, and as an eample the rofessor used Nationalized Health Care...now he presented both sides of the argument, and didn't take one....which is awesome, because many teachers would be tempted to favor one side or the other (hell, I would...but just because I'm always right)...and this neocon retard says "well I work, and I can afford to pay my insurance, so why should I pay more taxes so that soemone who doesn't have a job can get healthcare"...to which I responded "Well what about all the people who work, but don't make enough money to have insurance" (which, in reality is the REAL problem with our health care sstem, because those with no income whatsoever do get basic health coverage under our current system) and he replied "well they should just go get a better job"....I mean, honestly...how fucking ignorant do you have to be to say "well, if the poor people didn't want to be poor, they'd get better jobs, and wouldn't be poor anymore"...are there really people that stupid in the world (RHETORICAL QUESTION)
